@damumber10 do you actually understand the difference between being the main man in the team and other being a supporting one? for arsenal RVP is their main man.. just as messi is for us. villa plays out on the wings.. and scoring 23/53 from the wings is a damn good job.. and i am not even counting the amount of assists he makes or how much he helps in link up play or his work rate and tracking back. when you consider all this and also villa's strength to rise up on big occasions... villa is definitely the one better suited to us and also a better player overall.

Let's just say it's all about personal opinion. I think Van Persie would be great for Barca but if he doesn't come I won't care either. I never meant to say we should swap Villa for Persie..I wanted to have both players .

Marca at it again. "Van Persie could end up in Madrid next season"
With Higuain and Benzema I really doubt it..unless Mou is trying to play the false 9 system.

I saw Marca Futboleros last night (from 23.00 to 02.00, yes that's how long they discuss football on a Wednesday night) and they discussed the supposed move. I find the credibility of that rumour to be very low unless Mourinho will move this summer which I personally doubt.

BTW they have a very annoying clone of Roncero (Punta Pelota) on Marca Futboleros. Sadly I can't remember his name.

Higuaín has never been fully appreciated by the club, so it would not surprise if they included him in the deal, or shipped him somewhere else in order to get Van Persie...

Higuain for Van Persie swap deal? If RVP doesn't sign a new contract and has a year left, I'd take that any day of the week.

Why? Because any amount of money we get will only be reinvested on some random unknown youngster, and a swap deal will force Wenger to instantly have a quality replacement.

only if he doesn't sign a new deal!? Higuain is 4 years younger and a proven goal scorer, I'd take that offer even if it was made right after RvP signed a 5 year extension on his contract

It was one of the madrid guests from Punto Pelota ( he has always defended Mourinho and has stood for him all the time.) His name is Siro Lopez. He said that Mourinho will leave Madrid after this season to sign for Manchester City. I think this is not a crazy idea....In City he will have a great team and he will be back in the league he likes the most with a rich man behind the team to provide any player he wants.

i hope he leaves madrid. no one values his quality there.. even when played so inconsistently he has scored a lotta goals.. i dont know which club would be the best for him.. but that club is not madrid. Want him to grow into a striker that european defenses fear and he certainly has the potential and he is only 24.

No it is not Siro López. It is a entirely different person. Siro is not bad at all compared to Roncero. This clown on Marca Futboleros I was referring to is even worse (which I did not think was possible). If I am not mistaken his first name is Juan (also called "Juanma" on the program). I recalled that when I saw your reply.

Nevermind, I found the man. His name is Juan Rodríguez.

Everyone is forgetting the biggest provlem when it comes to RVP. He looks like Ben Affleck.

He could never get injured again, but he can't get rid of that burden.

I wouldn't, I love RvP as much as I do Henry and Bergkamp.

There's a risk that Higuain would need a season to get settled, meanwhile Van Persie is scoring as much as Ronaldo and Messi. RVP is also captain and face of the club, it would do more harm than good to lose him. That's why I'd only be in favor of trading him for Higuain if he's 100% intent on leaving.

I'd rather we have Higuain than 30 million that won't be spent on anyone.
