There's been a lot of talk about Barcelona, Real Madrid & Liverpool snatching up poor Valencia's talent. But could Atletico get in on it. They have money. I think Silva or Albiol would be a real boost to their squad. I don't know if they even want Ever Banega back though...

can i just say what an outstanding season Forlan has had yet again! was one of his biggest fans at United, but he hadn't matured, and therefore did not have enough time, plus with the likes of Van Nistelrooy, Rooney and a "fit more often" Saha to compete with he didn't get his chance, but, he got the golden boot first year in spain with villareal, and he looks set to tie it up again! 31 la liga goals in 32 games! UNBELIEVABLE !!! 42 goals so far (more than Ronaldo last year) and still 1 game left. he's 2 ahead of Eto'o in the Pichichi (sp) now with just the 1 game to go! PS he's been responsible for something like 21 of their last 24 points! he's basically GIVEN them the champions league spot! he's in the form of his life (the closing stages of this season) and i think this is the beginning/middle of his prime, hope he sticks with Atlético (my fave spanish team) and doesn't piss off to someone Like Man City (who he's linked with)

PPS he seems to have developed his left foot a lot also, in the league he's had like 15 with his right and 13 with his left with a few headers or something similar! WOW!

I guess with one or two booster signings, Atleti can do well in the CL next season. Forlan has been playing really well and Aguero is also there - they have good chance.

If other clubs don't steal thier best players though, if both Forlan and Aguero leave (if) who'll lead the front line? Sinama and Reyes?

I have a feeling that both Aguero and Forlan would stay. Atleti was doing well in the CL and next time they would be looking to go a notch or two higher.

    didnt reyes leave for benfica??
if they sell either of them they'll have shitloads of money (not that they are skint right now)... but of course being atleti, they'll either buy shitty players... or buy quality and turn it into shit...

Reyes left for Benfica at the beginning of the season on loan and is expected to return to Madrid unless they have other plans for him.

Its good to see Andrea Pirlo linked with Atletico. It would be great for Atletico should they sign the Italian midfielder. It would also be a nice experience for Pirlo.

Atletico Madrid can become a very very entertaining side, provided they buy some reinforcements behind the class of Aguero and Forlan. Maxi is a very good player as well for them.
