    Bundesliga:

    Kahn
    Sagnol - Bordon - Lucio - Lizarazu
    Effenberg - Ze Roberto
    Scholl - Diego
    Klose - Makaay

Was hard to name a Right Back ... just too many teams didnt play with real full backs at the start of the decade (3 CBs instead). I would vote Lahm if he wouldnt have started to play RB this season.

Most people would surely add Ballack here. But not only do i think he is overestimated (actually i always feel like he is slowing down the own team with his type of game, i.e. lack of risk and general uncreativity and he always have been some kind of a dirty player and came through with it as germanys NT captain ...), the central MF is full already. While there is absolutely no way around Ze Roberto, i also took Effenberg over Ballack. Effenberg is everything Ballack tried to become and what everyone around him expected him to become. But he never made it. Even though Effenberg departed from Munich in 2002 already and only added 2 more seasons in Wolfsburg, he was so dominating on the pitch during Bayerns prime (1998-2002, the time they were on the very top in europe) that i had to put him here.

    World:

    Kahn
    Puyol - Nesta - Cannavaro - Lizarazu
    Makelele
    Xavi - Zidane
Messi - Van Nistelr. - Ronaldinho

I dont see how you can leave out Ronaldo and Messi. Even if they only shone after 05, they defined the decade.

nah you're right, Ronnie should be in there ahead of Ruud.

    I edited it.

    and I hate editing things.

    so, thanks for the nudge.

glad you agree too. I reckon they're all pretty accurate.

Zidane said he thinks the current Barca team was better than his own Galacticos team. Still a need to vote?

No offense mate, but if this is your Liverpool team of the decade, it's kinda not suprising that you didn't win PL during this time

If we had that team now all in their peak, we'd walk the premier league this season.

    Reina is Mr consistency

Marcus Babbel - was an amazing right back solid as a mother fucker.

Hyypia - a freaking rock at centre back, easily pound for pound the signing of the decade imo.

Carragher - His peak years from 05-07 he was a top class centre back.

Aurelio - At his best and injury free he is a damned good left back. His best days were probably at Valencia though.

Murphy - On the right he would provide better service than Kuyt is doing currently. Look him now at Fulham he has been awesome this season and would be our set piece specialist.

Hamann - Quality DM, vastly underrated by a lot of people but I'd have him in my team all day long.

Alonso - Need I say anything?

Kewell - Again when injury free he was a top class left winger, oh how we could do with a fit Kewell right now. He was a lazy fuck but I'd take his 05/06 season form right now for the left.

Gerrard - Need I say anything?

Torres - Need I say anything?

So considering the current teams in the league today I'd definitely fancy our chances of winning it with that team for sure.

Plus need I remind you that in this decade we have won every trophy going except the premier league.

That team would win the Premiership no doubt if against the current teams, but if you were too do the same with Chelsea, Man U and Arsenal your team would finish 4th.

God doesn't pick football teams but if he did.... they'd probably look like this
