Camp Nou

IMHO it is not fair to compare percentages. I guess Arsenal wouldn't have a 90% in a 99000 stadium. Probably not even Dortmund.
And having a season ticket in Catalonia is a national thing, a heritage. It has nothing to do with Messi. I don't have the figures but I guess there was about the same number of season ticket holders (or the max allowed) even in the worst years. And the mentality of Catalans are quite different to British, Italians or Germans.
It's also not fair to blame season ticket holders for the relative (!) low attendance. Any average fan could buy a ticket to any game (except for El Clasico), there are no fans left out the stadium due to season ticket holders.
I cannot recall any event that sells 100 000 tickets for 30 times a year (at the same venue of course).

In the coming weeks it is expected that the jury choose the winning project of the New Camp Nou. Recall that the eight teams who aspire to the final choice are: AECOM + B720 Architects, Arup Sport + Ricardo Bofill Architecture Workshop, IDOM + BIG + BAAS Architects, Gensler Sport + OAB, HKS + COX + Batlle i Roig Architects, KSS + Matthew Architecture, Nikken Sekkei + Joan Ramon Pascual and Ausió Architects Populous + i + RCR MIAS Architects Architects.

This is so stupid. Can't we at least see all the designs?

I hope we get to see them all, however in the case of Madrid it didn't go so well as 2 of the designs were incredible and they picked the worst of the lot, so now Madristas look on at what could have been.

Didn't they pick the toilet seat design?

Or was it the box?

They picked this one, I would maybe call it a metal computer mouse or box http://ribas-arquitectos.com/index.php/en/projects-gallery/timeline?id=132

Its not even that its that bad but the other options were so much better. One of them can be found on this page http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=228092&page=46

I got a good laugh out of the render of the inside of the stadium with the scoreline Madrid 5 Barcelona 0.

The Foster and De La Hoz one was spectacular , I'd love something similar looking http://stadiumdb.com/news/2012/10/madrid_real_presented_four_finalists_for_bernabeu_revamp

Wow, those are some awesome designs Abu Dhabi has. Will the new Camp Nou be as cool as some of these designs?

I like how the inside view of the stadium on the design (the one they didn't pick) the scoreboard has RM 5 - 0 Barca

Anybody feel that Camp Nou is much silent than other Stadium...I mean considering we have 90,000+ Supporters but we still make less noise than Anfield or Allianz Arena.
