It's not the end of the world, Gomes and Paulinho will do their job against Chelsea and then there is NT break after which he should be back.

Our chance against Chelsea just switched from 90% to 30% time for Valverde to prove how good he is defensively.

Injuries happen but there is no way of ignoring the fact Iniesta has been playing too much and that Valverde should have rationed him more. So in very least, Valverde did contribute to this.

Maybe Valverde will play Demebele more now.

Careful now you could be branded a spoiled brat who wants treble every season. EV is a near perfect manager.

It is actually true that Valverde contributed to Iniestas injury. Whenever you play an injury prone player, you increase the risk of that player getting injured during game. Same thing with Vermaelen. What is not true though, is that his injury has anything to do with the amount of playtime he has received lately. It could have happened with his current minutes as well as if he hadnt played at all last month, his injury could have very well also happened in Chelsea game.
Iniesta has had muscluar injuries throughout his entire career lol

Imho Ernersto is one of the best coaches we've ever had

So what's the solution? Never play him? Coach is doing the right thing.

Iniesta is aware of the importance of the game against Chelsea and will do everything possible to recover from his injury and if necessary, force himself next week. [sport]

Oh, no - playing with an injured Iniesta really could be something Valverde would do, and really would weaken us massively. But so would playing without him, I can see the dilemma.

I actually just hoped he would be in-form and fit for the possible next round in CL, early April. With him and also Semedo back, we could field a strong side for the last CL-games.
