Was brilliant.

Yes he was and he is.
That's why it needs to be recalled and remembered that quite a few "clever" and regular posters here have not been even sparingly provided the adjective like: "he is finished", "he is done", "he is useless" and similar BS. And it's still in the mind of those guys... unfortunately this will return after a single bad game by Iniesta...

The knee jerk reactions on here after a single bad game from a player are comical.

He is the only player who needs to be critically managed which can result in a god level performance when needed.

The balance of his playing time and rest time should be optimized and he alone can be the answer to our midfield woes currently. If we get the peak iniesta then we can have 2 other rakitics in mids and we would dominate the midfield of any team in the world.

While we can't have peak iniesta we can still have a WC iniesta if we manage him well

He was magical last night. His presence on the pitch lifts a lot of weight from Messi's shoulders and Leo is free to be involved more in attack.

It’s too bad we don’t have anyone who can properly give him a rest. If Valverde can successfully manage his minutes and keep him fresh while still winning I will be impressed. If he plays like he did yesterday in the champions league we have a chance to make some noise.
