Don't see what's wrong with that. P. much what i have heard about Quatar from other sources. People in the coddled West are conditioned to believe that only the socialist/democratic West has happy people in them, while the rest of the world is oppressed and want to be democratized. That's patently false and just another facet of modern hubris in the liberaltopia.

It is very old news/link. This have been already discussed here before.
And Xavi can't criticize them while they are paying him, no one does that. Never mind that vast majority there feels same way, people might point to reports of workers in stadium who suffered from inhuman conditions etc but I am not sure someone like Xavi will be seeing those guys a lot.

My sister and her husband worked in Qatar and Dubai for a year once.
They do not treat their inhabitants well, and they treat people from poorer countries even worse.
They bring in people to do all their hard labour, mainly from Pakistan, and treat them pretty much like slaves.
They trick them by saying they will earn alot of money, but it ends up in them having to pay to get back their freedom.

Why are people surprised when Xavi says something stupid? He is the same guy who said Messi would be the best CB in the world.

Love the guy but nothing he says surprises me anymore.

We can't know if he will succeed as a manager or not but he shouldn't return to Barca until his former teammates like Busi, Pique, Suarez etc. are retired since I doubt he would be able to bench them. He needs to start from the scratch when and if he returns here.

It would also be too early for him to just jump in to Barca right away after getting a license. Even Pep started from Barca B.

He should fuck off with his Qatar advertising to unsuspecting and gullible people.

It's his business if he chooses to make heaps of dirty money but something entirely different to peddle Qatar shit.
