Tax changes in la liga

Well they would need atleast 100 people, or conducted the pole amongst Schizophrenics.

Anyway, regardless of how credible the pole is, there still seems to be alot of support for the club + liga position on this. People I spoke to seem to be convinced it will cause all the top players to move abroad. I know in Italia, or most other countries, taxing high paid players would be something of a vote winner.

What a shame :D

But really if these players want to win trophies they will go to barca or real regardless of the money.

It's not just Barca and Madrid though. I'd mainly be concerned about the general level of La Liga dropping because of players not wanting to move to clubs that are only potentially outsiders for winning major trophies - i.e. Sevilla, Valencia. We want them as strong as possible imo. They have plenty of foreign players themselves.

I don't see a problem actually. Au contraire, as there is only 1/3 of the players non-Spanish. As long as the Spanish league doesn't get stuffed with cheap players from outside the country, it's all cool.

It's exactly what they wanted with that law: making it attractive for workers who really contribute something to work in Spain. Of course you get situations like these, and then the socialists enter the pitch. They don't care one bit about the foreigners in clubs like Zaragoza or Almeria. They are blinded by the salary of Zlatan or Ronaldo. If the new law comes, the likes of Zaragoza and Almeria will be hurt most cause they don't have the money. Real and Barcelona have the money, it's not pleasant to pay 3 mil more for a top player or 10-15 for the whole squad but they will in the end just pay it.

Socialist, God, I hate them.

spot fucking on. esp that last sentence. clubs like FCB and RMadrid will see their transfer budgets go down by 20m-30m Euros, or have to pick up an extra game or two on their tours, run a bit of a loss now and simply renegotiate their TV/endorsement deals up to compensate for this extra cost. for a club that breaking/just in the black this type of tax could see them in to the red for a few million Euros and they do not have the luxury/leverage to make that money back through tours/tv/endoresments.

You don't see a problem and yet you write a paragraph about how massive a problem it would be?

No problem with the current taxation system. You just make your country/economy a bit more attractive to foreign workers that provide a quality injection. The 1/3 foreign players in the league probe that it works. If clubs wanted to take advantage of that rule, than there would be a lot more foreigners in La Liga. It's not that such a rule only exists in Spain.
If this happens in the business world, it would be brilliant. You would boost your companies (which football clubs are, certainly the big two, regardless their legal statute) and your economy. They apparently fail to see that the signing of such players generates a lot of money in Spain. It attracts attention, it brings in tourists, ...

Socialists don't care. They want to see Ronaldo and Zlatan (and Real and Barcelona for that matter, the big bad corporations and their money grabbing employees/directors) give up their salary so the conscience of those politicans has been salved. Except they hurt everyone except those who are the target of their conscience.

It'll indirectly hurt Barca and Madrid in the long run when two thirds of the league are liquidated and the quality drops to the point where it becomes an old firm situation, eventually hurting the quality of the big two when they start winning the league basically by default and international attention becomes limited.

And don't give me that socialism is evil bullshit, the Socialist Party of Spain hasn't been socialist since Franco killed and repressed every socialist in the country, they are populist demagogic moderates using this as a smoke an mirrors act, blame the foreigners while the corrupt locals run the zoo. They should be going after the shit owners of virtually every club, as I would say half of them commit tax fraud on a regular basis. The Spanish economy is a shithole because of these inept pigs.

I take it you don't like them then.

La Liga will be ok, the players have the same situation here and Italy can't compete financially anyway, it's just levelling the playing field a bit.

^^This.
Kev if u don't see the problem it create i'm really shocked ..
the likes of Villarreal-Valencia-Atletico Madrid..etc won't be able to bare that extra 20/30 million on top
we are talking about the likes of Forlan,Aguero,Rossi,Banega ,Nilmar going elsewhere
club like Racing (6 Million Euro transfer budget ) can't afford that increase, what will happen is the money they have for new players will be consumed by the increase.
no small time players making it big like Garay,Piatti ,Perotti..etc

While the affect on Real & Barca will somehow (maybe ) compensated by more tours ..etc the effect on the rest of the liga will be devastating .. simply 18 Deportivo (3 years ago ) every one on loan
