    let's discuss!

I get the feeling mourinho will experiment with lineups for another week or so before finding one that he really likes and riding that 'til it fails or a big-match-switcharoo comes into the picture.

    thoughts?
Agreed cos I font think he yet knows his ideal formation and preferred first eleven tbh. Still early days and even the 'special one' will need time to find his ideal side

Mourinho will need at least one year to find the best line up for Madrid, there will be also many transfers for them next summer, they are far,far from being being a team that can compete for the CL against Chelsea,Barca, even in the league they will find it hard, they have the best manager in the world but he will need time(At least one year)to deleiver, this is the best team rightnow
    ...................Casillas....................
    Ramos......Pepe......Carvalho...MArcelo
    .............Lassana........Alonso............
    Ozil..............Kaka................Ronaldo
    .....................Higuain..................
1-Since Kaka is out so Ozil will take his favourite central role, with Di Maria/Pedro Leon taking the wider role
2-canales is a superb talent but he is not ready yet to lead a team like MAdrid,he will be able to do it in 2 years, probablythe future of Spain's midfield along with Thiago
3-Benzema must step up for them,he didnt have a good year last year but still,I rate him very high, one of the best young strikers in Europe,I wont be surprisd if he takes the lone striker spot from Higs
4-There will be a lot of transfers for Madrid next season,They still need a LB,a defensive midfielder who plays in a more deeper role than Khedira and Alonso(I geard that Scwiny is on his way),maybe another winger or an attackingmidfielder if Di Maria or Perdo or Ozil fails
Impression:Madrid impressed me in this window but they are still not as good as Barca

He'll have to play Canales after his comments and Ozil and Kheidra will spend more time on the bench until their Spanish improves.

Did he really say that? Very surprising

    Wow Canales mrs is lovely

I reckon we'll see a couple more sub appearances from the Germans until they're more settled in. Although both looked good when they came on against Mallorca. I don't think Canales will remain as such a focal point, they need to ease him in, so I can see Ozil replacing him. A lot depends on CRs injury. Surely he'll look to avoid playing Benzema

Mourinho didn't say anything like that. He said that he will start him against Mallorca to see how he cooperates with the rest of the first team after good offseason. Never mentioned anything about benching the Germans, because of their lack of language knowledge. Also, what is the better way for Ozil and Khedira to make them blend into the squad quicker than simply giving them opportunities to play with the first team as often as possible (especially in the current situation when two of the usual first team choices are not fit to play) ? Mou isn't an idiot and definitely wouldn't allow a 19 year old to be the key player for Madrid unless he had monster athleticism, abilities and was ready to play at international level.

+ why would he avoid playing Benzema when he started look more like a player in latest weeks ? His goal against Bosnia was quite nice so I would see him playing either next to Higuain or being the first sub.

    BTW

Officially the biggest revenues in sport business this year - 442 mln.
Net debt decreased by 82 millions over last year down to 244 million.

Any statistic looks good basically. Seems like financially the club is right where it should be. Now back to sporting values

He did say that he was going to bed the Germans in slowly until their communication in the pitch improves. He also said that Canales was starting becuase of how he trained and that was the message he was giving his players. So therefore if Canales continues to train well then he can't very well turn round and drop him all of a sudden.

Do you actually know anything about what is happening in your club?

Oh sorry, I take that back. Just found this bit of an interview. My bad.

Can't find a bit about Canales though, but I'll trust that you don't tell lies.

With that being said it's really risky. I'm not sure I like the idea of Canales going out in first team, but if Mou thinks that Ozil won't deliver without proper communication then so be it. Shame.

How much communication skills does a professional footballer like Ozil have to have in order to be effective out there?...Are there really more than a dozen terms he'd really need to know out on the pitch?

Must've been wearing an earpiece and being fed instructions when he came on in the 2nd half in their first match cuz he sure seemed to know what he was doing out there

Dirty Tackle had an amusing take on RM's press release about it's finances and 'solvency':

If you had any fears of Real Madrid not making any money, you may now worry about more important things like how much Cristal Jay-Z can drink or what type of books a literate giraffe would read. According to the AFP, Real has announced revenues of €442.3 million for last season. It claims they are the highest "of any sports institution in the world." Though recent transfer dealings certainly eat up a big chunk of that money, here are some other things they're putting it towards:

-Hiring people to ring the doorbell at Pep Guardiola's house and then run away before he can answer it.

-Creating a team of employees who follow Jose Mourinho around every day and reassure him that Rafa Benitez is "a big sack of dumb."

    -Financing Iker Casillas tear collectors.

-Weekly reminders that Gago is still on the team.

-Paying hobos to scavenge for working body parts for Kaka.

-Funding Cristiano Ronaldo's "impregnation expeditions" so that Real can one day feature an entire starting XI comprised solely of his offspring.

-Daily buffings of Zidane's head to keep it shiny and always ready for a possible comeback as a player. Also, so Ronaldo can use it as a mirror.

-Genetically engineering Paul the octopus to live forever, always predict Real victories and mercilessly kill Lionel Messi with his impossibly strong tentacles of doom.

-And, of course, providing club president Florentino Perez's favorite breakfast cereal, Eur-O's. It's not at all nutritious, nor is it necessarily the breakfast of champions, but it satisfies the cravings of any ridiculously wealthy person who literally wants to eat money.
Paolo Maldini - "In my opinion, Messi should win the Golden Ball each year. He's an unbelievable player."

Shame on him though, I'm sure he can say he wants to play. Portugal are being embarrassed.

Well, it's Ronaldo's and Mourinho's priority to make him focus on the club rather than early stages of internationals so IMO it's a really good move by them. CR going out in first 11, confirmed by Mourinho during press conference. Now then we're waiting for the statement that Lassana and Pepe are cleared to play too and let's get on with the league with a proper starting 11

So you are saying that Ronaldo's priority is Madrid rather than his country right?
