apart from xavi, iker and iniesta...

    giggs.

    del piero.

    maldini.

but you're right there's really not many players who are like that.

tbh I think raul would be up there too but his nationalism makes him a hate-figure for catalans and basques, whereas iker doesn't get involved with any of that.

Plus his finger to the lips at the Camp Nou and all round being a twat. You may not agree but I can't stand the bloke.

    Thanks for the reply, mate.

Salgado has chosen to play for Blackburn Rovers in the next two seasons.

Sportmediaset claims that Inter Milan director, Marco Branca, is in Madrid to discuss about Sneijder and already has an agreement in principle for 20 m Euros.

Italain Media have been coming up with similar stories in the last couple of weeks with different figures, but i hope we get around 22-25m if we are to sell him. Pellegrini wants to keep him and we don't need to sell him for cheap when he's ready to fight for his place and who knows, he might regain his old form after that free kick. It'll help to improve confidence a lot anyway.

More details about the Negredo transfer. Negedo prefers Zaragosa, but their offer is 12m Euros which is well short of the 15m+3 m incentives by Hull. But the release clause would be around 20m if we sell him to Zaragosa.

They say he'll earn 2m per season and will pen a five year contract.

welcome on board Raul7, glad to have another Madridistas..

regarding your initial question they used to be few English Madrid forums but much more Barca ones , take into consideration that Barca and the Catalans always had that English connections (politically ) and plenty of English people do support Barca compared to Real Madrid .
personally i don't like Madrid forums so we are here regular contributors to our rivals..

Yep read Salgado one.. best of luck for him and i reported Zaragoza news early.. however it depend on the money offer although the buy back option is almost none (according to Marca & AS ) if we want him back from Zaragoza

It is good to have another madridista to even up the balance.

What is missing though are people who support other la liga teams here though like Atletico, Sevilla, Valencia etc. I don't mean them as their second club, but it is their main club that they support.

Haven't seen many on the old forum and none here.
Football is a simple game, complicated by idiots.

My name is Midhun and I am from India. I am an Engineering student.

VDV is an obvious choice and I'd have preferred RVN to be the other one.I've immense respect for what he has done to the club, but sentiments aside, I think that would have been the sensible decision. He's coming off a major injury and missed out the majority of the last two season, and I am not sure he'll be able to stay fit for the most of this season though he's not going to be a starter and we're less dependent on him compared to last few years. I'd have liked us to keep Negredo rather than selling him now and buying him back again when RVN's contract expires next term. I think Pellegrini wants to play with two strikers, so he would have got enough minutes as our third striker. Others might find it a bit ironical seeing my user name, but I'd prefer Raul to start from bench this season with Higuain and Benzema as starters. I respect him for all the services, but it's time to move on and Pipita has done enough to earn a regular spot in the team considering last season's performance.

Anyways, I feel we'll let Negredo and VDV go. so just hoping that he does well at Zaragosa and we get him back next year. I think Raul will retire in 2011 or move to MLS(he hinted that in an interview), so we need to keep hold of Negredo. I think Negredo or Srabia will be our next 'No.7'(slim chance of Ronaldo getting it since only Spanish players (Amancio, Juantito, Butre and Raul) have worn it in the last 50 years or so.

lol Nope. I want him to stay and finish his career here( or take semi-retirement in MLS if he wish to spend some time there), but I'd like to see less of him as a regular starter and more of Higuain.

I agree that Raul has done a lot for Madrid. But don't you guys think his days are over?

He should probably on the bench and Higgy in the team, yes. But he's not completely done, still a good player.
