And it's around that period that Madrid became the most successful club of the world eh? Beast, I'd like to hear your opinion on Di Stefano's refused transfer to Barca. Was Franco really involved in that move?

Without Di Stefano, would RM still have conquered those 5 CL-titles during 1950-60, or wouldn't they have won a single CL without him? I know that Di Stefano is probably the best player in RMs history, so I wonder how well RM would have performed without him (and how well Barca would have performed with him)

The Di Stefano affair has now been officially uncovered, one of the investigators is Sid Lowe and I hope he will do write up of it in The Guardian.
