My man, what? But I agree with you. Honestly this forum has developed a boner for insanely average talents in the past few years. I honestly don't know what has happened. Our standards used to be higher.

Bayern fans gave everyone shit at some point, usually after going out they are all over the place with scapegoating. Hit also Robben, Lewandowskin, Neuer etc. This usually happens when a player that is obviously immensely talented, doesn't perform up to his expected level in a big game defeat. Expectations are always CL or bust, so if that doesn't happen, people point fingers at the players they had their hopes up for.

No he wasn't, just rose tinted glasses because we won a triple that year. He was a water carrier, a fairly decent one, during that season. That's it.

Disagree with that. Thiago surely did not play for a weak team.
Rakitic was important for the treble, one of the best midfielder in the world during that time. He was the best player of Europa league, scored like 15 goals and assited 17 times during 2013-2014 season, way before Barca era. He was that good, clearly better than Thiago during the same period. Also his NT performance is better than Thiago.
Thiago is more gifted and now he is surely better than Rakitic.

Can't cope with the rhythm. Top player, but overrated by Barca fans. He was great last season, but that was a team functioning on all levels like a well-oiled machine. Easier to be class when everything clicks around you.

Messi should stay away from EPL at this age probably.

He has played decently thus far, but Klopp has tinkered too much with the selection in mid as he is trying to figure out which midfielder will play CB every time

This game or last game vs City he is mediocre. Just make a foul that lead to Leicester's first goal and bad touch in Leicester's second.
