The only way I see one of Conte, Klopp or Bilic getting Vermaelen is if we loan him out and pay all his wages. Basically a free transfer.

If we would pay all his wages, would wouldn't loan him, thats for sure. But we are lucky if anybody takes him for free anyways!

If it weren't for Mathieu's constant poor performances this season we'd have secured the Liga weeks ago. An argument could be made that he's not a LB, though.

People were scalding Mascherano for this stuff back in January too. Busquets has made some costly mistakes. Dani has made costly mistakes. Jordi has made costly mistakes.
It's not down to Mathieu. Even after the Villarreal game in March, we were 10 points ahead of Real. Our lack of legs and as a result poor performances in April is what almost cost us.
