Ah alright. Missed that one yesterday. Just copied my ratings over from the Barca-Atletic match thread now:
- Valdes: 6/10 - Not much work to do. No real chance to prevent the goals. On one occasion, when he rushed out to clear a long ball, it could have gone wrong though.
- Maxwell: 6/10 - Solid defending, some good offensive scenes in 1st half, nothing really spectacular though. 2nd half hard to notice - which is not necessarily bad for a defender.
- Chryg: 4/10 - Two huge errors in 1st half. Couldnt stop a ball and bounced it off to Maxi giving him the best chance besides the goal. Also a panicking backpass to Valdes who had 2 Atletic players right around him. Generally had some probs with Kun. But also with some good positioning and tackling, preventing another good chance. Not much to do for him in the 2nd half for a while. Then late into it, he had two more screwups: first losing a ball to Sinama, and then wasnt able to keep Forlan from scoring.
- Pique 8/10 - Simply flawless in the defense, filling holes on several occasions, heading a lot of high balls away and acting as last resort on Chrygs screwup. Good rushes forward, but could still improve his long balls tbh ... stopped that in the 2nd half mostly though.
- Alves: 7/10 - Monster freekick goal. Besides that a solid performance, no big flaws, but no real shines as well until his assist on Messi in the last minute.
- Busquets: 4/10 - Started out nicely, esp. with a nice assist to Ibras goal. Some good passing and tackling, but even more easy losses and missed passes. Major error at Kuns goal with a backheader into Kuns channel. Got worse over time/in 2nd half. Its ok that Pep gives him playtime to get better, but currently he is juts not on the same level as the rest (well, maybe Chryg today ...)
- Keita: 6/10 - good defending/tackling, no errors in the buildup, but also w/out really noticeable actions. Pushed the ball over the line for the 4th goal when Messi and Ibra set up perfectly. Hard to give him big credits there.
- Xavi: 8/10 - showed his usual strong passing/playmaking combined with good defending and a few strong steals and pushovers.
- Henry: 8/10 - best match for a while. Almost scored in the 1st minute with a strong shot on the post. Afterwards some awesome passes on Messi, that could have easily meant two more goals. Generally very active, pacy and an easy receiver for passes.
- Ibra: 7/10 - Very strong start with an excellent goal. Some good steals but then vanished a bit from the match. Very nice pass on MEssi prior to the 4-0. I liked how he switched positions a lot with Henry (that also counts towards the frenchie ofc).
- Messi: 9/10 - Nice finishing on the 2-0, awesome assist on Keitas 4-0 and finally scoring again in the last minute. VEry active and agile. A few unnessecary losses though in the 1st half. Left esp. Ujfalusi helpless, only stopped by fouls. Alves freekick was after one of these btw. MoM with no doubt.
- Iniesta 6/10 - some untypical ball losses on dribblings or when trying to contain the ball. Otherwise smart and nice passing/playmaking, filling out Xavis spot nicely and finally setting up the final goal by Messi.
- Marquez and Pedro: too few actions to rate seriously

Maxwell was pretty bad last night. It looks as if we are going to continue with our ongoing saga of finding a decent LB. Does Alves have a brother?

yeah busquets, chyggy and maxwell could all have done better last night, they wern't shocking but were only worth a 6 in my opinion.
Well Puyol is looking for a job. We might aswell give it to him.

Chrygrinsky: 3 A handful of errors and an all round disappointing display.
Pique 8 Flawless- had to take Chrygrinsky by the hand.
Alves: 7 Great goal, solid performance.
Busquets: 4 Disappointing.
Keita: 7 Decent, but not great.
Xavi: 8 Brilliant in providing for the front men, great defending also.
Henry: 8 Was a handful.
Ibra: 7 Had a goodish game, with a very well taken goal. Lovely dink to messi for his (messi's) assist.
Messi: 9 MoM by miles. 2 goals (both brilliant) and an absolutely stunning, beautiful assist. Was always a threat and showed many momens of magic.
Iniesta: 6 (had no real time to make an impact, despite the 30mins or so he was on) Marquez & Pedro, ditto. Though won't give a rating for even less time on pitch.
