Oh no! My 3 favourite players from argentina of all time - Maradona, Riquelme and Messi...

Riquelme is a pure genious... but he seems to be one of those players that people either hate or love

I do like Riquelme and I think he is unique but I have to side with Diego on this. Roman should stop whinnying, put his ego aside and understand that he is not bigger than the NT! Maradonna opened the opportunity for him to play in the future but he refused.

Thank you for what you did in the Past Roman. farewell...Adios!!

I`m sad for Riquelme. Always enjoyed watching him play for Argentina. And he still has a lot to offer. 30 is not an old age for a midfielder.

He's one of the best players, no doubt, but his attitude doesn't help him, the guy can't take any criticism, it has happened in Villareal, in his return to Boca and now in the national team, he should stop being a cry baby and shut mouth in the pitch...

He is one of my favourite players of all time. Watching him play the game is like a walk through a meadow. He slows things down to a snail's pace but u see so much beauty in what he does. He is a traditional playmaker, not one of the new breed that dribbles, passes, can pop up on the left or right.

Every time I watch Riquelme play, he puts a smile on my face with his exceptional talent. He is one of the best playmakers I have seen so far. I wish he continued to play for Argentina. For so many times I wished, I could watch him in some big european club. I still think he can fit in well into big clubs whose attacking build up is a little slow. For example, Chelsea. His lazy brilliance is simply awesome. This guy is an artist. Anyways, Boca are a very big team as well. I wish him the best.

That penalty miss against arsenal effectively ended his european career. Such a shame. The second lehmann saved that penalty u could practically see the soul sucked out of romy.

I read today that Messi or Aguero will inherit the legendary no.10 shirt of Argentina

What do you guys think should be Argentina's formation? Especially which players should start in attack and midfield? Other than Messi, they have the likes of Aguero, Tevez, Lavezzi, Zarate, Angel Di Maria. If Argentina play with 3 strikers then there are two places left (after Messi) and 4 really good strikers.

    Carrizo
    Zanetti - Samuel - Heinze - Papa
    Maxi - Mascherano - Gago - Jonas
    Messi - Tevez/Aguero

Not sure about Di Maria since he just got back from injury?

    Add to the mix Veron
