Whenever writing articles always do so on a word processor so that you can save it

I hope you are right about your picks though if we win I want the bears in the final for an easier time!!!

I've already sworn that if Roethlisberger has the game of his career and leads the Steelers to a win I'm buying his jersey.

Big Ben can't be ruffled like Manning and especially Brady. you can hit him again and again and it doesn't bother him. it'll be really interesting to see how the Jets deal with that.

and of course, can Sanchez handle Troy and Harrison?

it'll be interesting. I'd probably side with the Steelers due to Big Ben's hardiness and the team's ability to run the ball (the Pats and Colts don't have a great run game). but the Jets have made me eat my words twice in a row, so I wouldn't be surprised if they took it. it all depends on how good Rex's plays are.

as for the NFC. I'm backing the Bears, but I expect the Packers will take it.

It's interesting because while the Steelers have less passing firepower Big Ben scares me more than Brady or Manning as he can do more with less. The Jets don't have the Steelers in their heads the way they had the Colts and Pats, in fact the two teams respect each other, and I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Rex has done an excellent job getting the team to play with a chip on their shoulder, but this time it's not going to be hatred that motivates them and losing your edge against a team like the Steelers will come back to haunt us.

I've never believed in the Jets more than I do now but there are few organizations in sports that know how to win like the Steelers do, they are in my opinion the best NFL franchise for a reason.

I hope the Pack take out the Bears, as much as I think the Jets could destroy Cutler in the Super Bowl I'd like to shut up all doubters. Would anything be more epic than taking out 4 of the 5 best QBs?

cuz Ben missed a lot of open receivers in their meeting in week 15. He's gotta hit those throws. Furthermore, his o-line is GAH-BAGE. The Jets will bring the blitz often, but they'll do it so that Ward, Wallace, and Miller are covered in the middle. Like Meta said, Ben will handle the hits and he'll make 3-4 plays where he's pulling a play out of his ass with a DB or LB hanging off of his shoulder pads, but he's got to remain focuses on hitting those WRs down field when he starts improvising. The Jets D is going to have to reconcile the fact that Ben is not Brady or Manning. He can run, move in the pocket, and handles getting hit better than any QB I've seen. Peter King wrote in his MMQB article that the drop off in QB Rating for Ben vs the blitz compared to normal coverage is not as pronounced as it is with Manning or Brady. So it's going to be cat and mouse between Ryan and Ben. Ben has to read the coverages, contend w/ a shaky o-line, and hit his passes accurately against a defense that is peaking and filled with confidence. All while acknowledging the fact that his favorite target might be stranded on Revis Island all game. ergo ... he has to have the game of his career.

hey! I picked the Jets over Indy, that didn't jinx them. I just don't want to be wrong. I hate being wrong. and the Jets aren't the Cowboys. I can live w/ them in the Superbowl.

With the Jets I firmly believe its a mental thing rather than an ability thing with our current roster.

I too have never believed in the jets more than I do now. But I still get this essence like we don't belong here. Like when I look at the Steelers, Colts, Pats, Packers, who have franchises that belong in this stage of the play offs every year. When I look at us I sense an inferiority complex that will only go away when we are a major player in the play offs year in and year out on a consistent basis.

So for the Jets its definitely a mentality thing that will either hinder them or get them over the line.
