well through years of sucking they ammased tons of draft picks and have perhaps the most dominant defender in the game in patrick willis, a top 5 rb in gore and a top 3 TE in davis, crabtree is on his way to becoming a superstar WR, the D has been groomed the last couple years and looks like they are ready to compete and all they need is a good QB which they do not have. it will probably be 2 to 3 years b4 they compete as they have no playoff experiance which they will get in the coming years. Coach is a hardass that does not take shit so another plus on their side.

it all changed when the minister took over.

before him we were a bunch of very talented misfits with no organisation or consistency (smith had 5 OC's in 5 seasons). under coach sing there has been consistency and discipline which has focused a talented squad of players. alex smith remains the only real question and if you put any established QB in there I'd make the niners one of the favourites for the superbowl. the rest of the team is superb.

True that meta and yusuf. You guys hit the nail on the head.

If we had a great QB right now, we would contend.

lol, well without him their D is still good but can be beat, with him they lock up the best WR on the other team, i still doubt their offense is good enough to do any damage

Put £50 on Baltimore Ravens to win the Super Bowl at 10/1.
Guardiola is quoted as telling Catalan radio: “Liverpool Academy is the only one who can compete at "La Masia". If they can manage those lads, then maybe 20 star players can arrive from that academy.”

good odds my man, seeing as their D is solid but will struggle early without edd reed as he is injured but their offense has one of the best RBs in the game in Ray Rice and finally flacco has options to throw 2 in boldin and hooshmanzadah

    Exactly my thoughts.

I think they will be pretty consistent throughout.

They have everything I like in terms of being a success. I like the running game with Ray Rice, Joe Flacco is maturing as a QB and should thrive now that they’ve got a go to WR in Boldin. Defensively they are still very good although not as elite as they were ten years ago when they won the Super Bowl. Still, Ray Lewis is the best defensive leader in football and they get pressure on the QB.

They will be there or thereabouts for sure.

    shit just got real.

    AFC better run and hide.

    TJ's a-comin'.

    niners/ravens superbowl.

niners go ahead by five as they hit the two minute warning.

flacco then leads the ravens down the field in a stupendous two-minute drive.

he hits mad resistance as he enters the red zone but gets it to 1st and goal at the 5.

they try to run it up the middle twice but willis nails rice both times and they make no progress.

3rd and goal at the 5, six seconds left.

flacco drops back to pass, lookin' for TJ THE ALMIGHTY on the slant...

    BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

on a safety blitz, Taylor Mays OBLITERATES flacco. he hits him so hard that TIME stands still to catch a look!

clock runs down to zero, game is over, niners win.

they need a crane on the field to pull flacco outta the hole Taylor Mays buried him in.

Taylor Mays is awarded the MVP for that hit alone, and from that day forward needs only breathe on an offensive player for them to cower in a whimpering heap of tears and piss.

    respec'.

I know nothing of this sport...except that it is an Americanised version of the British game rugby...that it is somewhat brutal, that it takes forever...that there is a guy in every team that is called a quarterback,Superbowl is like the CL final..it is extremely popular in America....line of scrimmage,touchdown....and I don't really care....

Seeing as the american game they don't pass the ball back to their teammate I fail to see the connection. Alas I hate crapby - both versions (league and union).

Superbowl is the american version of the world cup final let alone the CL final.
