Yeah a few years ago most people wanted him sold.

Credit to Lucho for putting faith in Roberto. One of the most important things he did in his time as Barca manager.

Wasn't easy, it took him 4 years to get here. I'm glad he stays, I think Sergi Roberto is the first La Masia player to become important part of the club after the legendary 1987-88 generation of Messi, Pique, Busquets, Pedro, Fabregas etc. This exlcludes Jordi Alba, who developed as player in other clubs.

There was a time were he didn't look or play like someone who would make it here. When he played in the Midfield for the first team once he got promoted reminded of Gomes last season, where he was afraid of doing anything risky and even then he had a lot of fuck ups.

Roberto was the standard safe Midfielder when he was promoted but that wasn't enough for a club like ours. It wasn't until Lucho played him at DM when us Barca fans started to see him in a different light and eventually him being moved to RB is where people finally accepted he has a place on this team.
