Doubt he would start for any other top club. The fact that he doesn't have much caps for Spain says alot, but yet he is still one of the highest paid Spanish players at present. :lol:. The RB spot has been a difficult one ever since Alves left and to his credit he has been able to slot in there. Generally, he has been average, is usually never good in midfield but is ok at rb. Average player earning the wages of an elite player. Earns way more than top right backs and central midfielders.

It's impossible to shit on him. He's an exemplary member of our squad.

The fault lies higher up.
It starts from bad squad planning and relying on Roberto to be something he isn't - a starter for a top club.
This in turn automatically gives him a higher status and higher wages.

I don't see a problem with him being fourth captain. All of the four captains don't have to be undisputed starters. Can't see him as 1st captain but he could well stay in the quartet even when the current oldies are gone.

Roberto hasn't done anything bad, well except not being able to live up to the expectations of being a starter, but that's not his fault. In the end he's a valuable squad player and this is the type of player we want on the bench.

Our standards have lowered, should have realised that when we literally had people begging this dude to play in midfield just last season.
