Don't know if it is ability per se, but the fact that he would be given space owing to him not being a star and also actually not being in attack or mid field definitely helps him - He starts those Kaka-eque runs when least expected!

But then again we call CR7's running into spaces where he is not marked as an ability - so why not

Thing is many of our young players hesitate to go forward and provide killer passes . Sergi is an exception . He doesn't hesitate to go forward which should be the basic quality of an attacker ,imo

I think it speaks more about the state of LaMasia. We haven't had a good prospect from LaMasia in some time, that's why we think Roberto as a young prospect.

Same age. Difference is Coutinho started to shine much earlier because Liverpool were not in such great shape, mostly average squad players while Barcelona had been dominated by 6-7 world class players since 2008. Sergi remained loyal and worked hard to be part of the squad, which probably cost him a year or two in development.
