You are right Warik, CSKA hasn't confirmed. And I couldn't find anything on the Chelsea webpage either. Strange, Swedish press wrote that it was official My bad.

Chelsea don't play traditional 4-4-2 so one of cole or Malouda will be sold. But Cole isn't very good at left midfield anyway - he is a far better LB.

So don't understand that one - unless Cole is leaving.

Apparently, Patetico Madrid have Sergio Asenjo. I guess Barça is waiting for Miño or Oier.

Surely there's a top left back in the world somewhere who would relish the opportunity to push Abidal for his first choice in the squad.

Would love to land Zhirkov ahead of Chelsea.

We won the Treble! Surely we can spend a little and replenish the squad and left back is one of the positions that should be looked at. Get in there!

But I prefer Abidal. We can't have both Alves and Zhirkov playing as fullbacks running up and down the flanks, who will defend? We already have Abidal and should settle with a backup LB. It is more imortant we get a good backup for the midfield, we all know what happened when Iniesta was out for a couple of weeks this season. Cesc or Gourcuff would do it. But I agree, if Zjirkov would like to join us and it would be possible for us to sign him - I say, why not?

The way i see it is what i believe Meta has been saying, if we have an attacking left back it adds options, Abidal is good defensivly, but if we need Alves rested or he gets injured *touch wood* we lose that little bit extra he adds to our attack. With an attacking left back we have choices:
    1) Play Alves and Abidal
    2) Rest Alves, push Puyol out right and use the attacking left back
    3) Use Alves and the attacking left back

You can have Dossena if you want a left back - he only scores in the most important games

wasn't their decision , the loan deal had an option to buy for Bordeaux.. they took the option after Gourcuff agreed to stay

Pep wants to enlarge the current team, as next years he guesses we have to play even more games.

So i actually don't see much players leave, except for those who really want to.

Hleb is said to very pissed being not in the team for the CL, although players like Pedro and Muniesa were.
I think Hleb is one of those who could leave, just as gudjohnsson.

As long as we can bring in a few more quality players than im ok with those two leaving, they obviously want to play more regular football and Pep can't promise them that. Hleb could maybe still come good though but if he could be swapped for Ribery i would take it.
Barca need a little fresh blood in the system imo to keep people on their toes. Also wouldn't stand in the way of Sylvinho if he was determined to get more first team action, he was immense whenever he was called upon this season especially in the Champions League Final.
Let's hope that whoever Barca sets their sights upon look at the team, how successful they've been this season and wish to be part of it rather than other teams that may look their way.

excellent deal for Bordeaux no doubt and they can easily make 25-30 Million out of him.. bad move for Milan , but i think this will complicate any future Kaka movement unless they decide they will rely on Dinho which is a _ _ _ _ _ _ (fill in the blanks ) move
Gourcuff signed a 4 years contract, he will be able to leave after the world cup but he will be sold around 20m only, its in the clause, gourcuff asked himself for that.
