I read that too. I dunno though, I also read an interview with Almunia and he said there's a running joke in the Arsenal dressing room where they say things like, and I quote: "Oh, you signed for Barcelona this week? Again?"

To buy him from Lille (where he plays in the 1:st team) and place him Atlètic, I don't know if he would go for that? To be honest, I haven't seen him play. Maybe he is a future star, maybe not. But if we are looking for a young talented player on CM, we don't have to look outside Atlètic - I'm very sure that Thiago is going to be superb. But I really want to get Cesc, he could not only rotate with Iniesta and Cesc, we could also play Iniesta on the left wing (depends on who and if we get a new left winger?). Other teams have seen what Barca are capable of and wants to improve, we have to be a step ahead and make wise decisions on transfer targets. We don't want to upset the players we want to keep and we also shouldn't buy players that don't improve our squad (but we should also get them more time on the pitch. Pep has to rotate more, but he really didn't have much choice cause' we lost in quality with Hleb, Caceres, Guddy and Keita).

Buying players who are older than 18 for Athletic is just wasted money.
But he's not a CM, he's way more attacking.
