Villa is the most adequate eto'o replacement. Of course there are players like forlán, benzema etc who we will have to change our system for, but in terms of keeping the fluid 4-3-3 villa is the man we should be breaking our backs to get.

I don't think you've done your homework Benzema plays in the same position within the same 4-3-3 formation at Lyon. So I don't see how we will have to change our system to suit him. If anything it's someone like Zlatan and to a lesser extent Villa for whom we would have to make some modifications.

IMO if Pato is available, I think we should give it some serious thought. We don't need a WF like Ribery as much as we need a CF; so I say go for him. I don't think that he would be the perfect player to complement Eto'o, but I actually wouldn't mind offloading Eto'o to bring another young CF, be it Benzema or Keirrison and secure beyond doubt our attacking trident.

Alves is a bad buy imo. There are much better choices like Raul Albiol, Geromel (Köln), Rolando (Porto), Kolo Toure or even Chiellini for the money Alves would cost.

And I don't understand a possible transfer of Mascherano? OK, the African Nations Cup - but that's 6 weeks or something and than what? We have 2 of the best DMs and Busquets??? What about some good cover for Xavi and Iniesta? Nooo, but we will have 3 of the best DMs in the world?

Toni, Forlan, Cole? Come on!
Why we need Cole when we have Abidal. We should get some good cover for Abidal and that's it. And Toni? There are better choices like Dzeko if we want that kind of player.

Is tht really wat messi wants?...it seems more a case of the other 2 argentinians wantin to join him...Im all for more catalans/spanish and 1 each frm diff nationalities...but not 3 frm non-spain...Besides i want either Gai Assulin/Gerard deulofeu to take up tht LW position permanently in the future...which wudnt be possible if sme1 like Aguero cmes in...

That's also what worries me, that he is a machine. He is to clumsy (but not in a Vidic kind of way) and will get yellow and red cards every second game he plays. Geromel from Köln is a young Lucio and we should go after him. Also Albiol and Kolo are good or even Alves team mate Rolando. Alves would cost us about €20 mils! I would rather spend some extra € and get Chiellini who is Piques age. Than we have a couple of CBs for 7-9 years.
