Lyon bringing in record revenues after completing stadium:

On Tuesday, 1 August, L'Equipe unveiled Lyon's revenue for the financial year of 2017-2018: 240 million euros. That is more than double the amount OL earned in 2014, which was 115 million. Lyon is therefore the second richest club in France, far ahead of AS Monaco and its 180 million euros. The reasons for this success come from a single point: the stadium. Completed in January 2016, it generated significant revenues. The naming agreement that OL has with Groupama to rename its enclosure will further contribute to raising the budget. There is only one title left for the Rhodanian club.

"Olympique Lyonnais is pleased to announce that the discussions held exclusively with Groupama Rhône-Alpes Auvergne since June 29th have converged and culminated in the signing today of a global, modern and innovative industrial partnership. Groupama Rhône-Alpes Auvergne has been a major partner of the OL for several years, for the men's, women's and youth teams, as well as for the naming of the training center (GROUPAMA OL TRAINING CENTER) Training center (GROUPAMA OL ACADEMY). In this extension, a new stage is reached with a partnership spearheaded by the "Naming" rights of the Olympique Lyonnais stadium, which will henceforth be called "Groupama Stadium".

According to Le Progrès , this partnership is expected to generate around € 6m per season at OL. In addition, the press release states that "the renewable 3-year contract will give visibility to" Groupama stadium "outside the stadium, in the arena, on the itinerary of VIP customers and the general public, As well as in sports zones, and will enable Groupama Rhône-Alpes Auvergne to use the image of the stadium to promote its offers and services. " This is excellent news for so JMA. "I am particularly pleased and proud of the signing of this global naming and partnership agreement with Groupama Rhône-Alpes Auvergne. We have always been convinced that what was possible abroad would also be so in France . " Finished the Park OL,

tbf I'd like to see Lyon back up there. last time i saw them play they had Juninho and that bald guy Cris? i think  problem for Ligue 1 imo moving forward will be PSG likely sucking up all the talent ala Bayern. cant say I like PSG much after the neymar verratti shit but if every league was competitive its more football to enjoy so i won't complain.

any chance Monaco will move to a bigger stadium soon?

Lille is back. Beautiful football, talented players, amazing atmosphere. Have the look of an excellent Europa league team under Bielsa.
