Also, City have just set up a football club in New York.

We're going around in circles, the brits buying a american club.
Its extremely clever, City just brought themselves global recognition whilst it took other teams years hard work on the pitch. Plus an excellent way to get around the FFPR, by using the other club to get rid of deadwood and reduce the wage bill.

100 years is a drop in the ocean for human's history. It's anyone's guess who will be the best football team in the world 100 years from now, let alone ever.

I'm calling Swansea City right now though, hopefully people will visit this site in 100 years and quote this post.

Buying an American team hardly constitutes worldwide recognition in a footballing context. There are probably few people who are even aware of this relatively speaking.
