If one moment can summarize why SWP is horseshit it was that, simply not good enough. I would be ashamed of myself to not make that pass with my weak foot and im playing mid sussex div 1 and he is representing one of the top nations in the world.

gerrard made an assist and let the forwards and wingers have more freedom. and barry did what barry does which is keep the team ticking. england is not dead in the middle of the park. defoe should have got 3 or 4 goals and missed some sitters.
rio is finished at this level. jagielka or cahill are the future. rio is a sicknote and is going downhill fast.

Yeh if there's one place you need consistency in selection it's the back 4. You don't want to be chopping and changing your CBs, which will happen if you keep picking Rio.

Nice Ry, I'm playing in the Wiltshire Football League Div 1.

england were dead. they had absolutely zero control over the game and all their buildup play was down the flanks. gerrard's assist was put on a plate for him by rooney.

the better teams will devour england until something is done about central midfield.

gerrard does absolutely nothing but bomb forward and make stupid passes, and barry just does absolutely nothing.

but hey, what do I know? I've only been saying this for years and only keep getting proven right at every crunch opportunity.

barry is such a slug, he has never been and never will be a DM.. the amount of clumsy fouls he gives away is ridiculous.

    Barry, indeed, was poor, IMHO

The likes of Rodwell, Huddlestone, Parker all deserve chances next to Gerrard. Barry doesn't cut it and seems to be under no pressure to perform.

I still cant uderstand Capello's obsession with the 4-4-2 formation, the ball retention is very bad and he never tried to play with an extra midfielder, they dont have quality strikers aside from Rooney so why the obsession with an extra man up front,If Carrick returns to his form then that maybe a key for England but its highly likely to return to his best days,I also think that Capello should try to play with Rooney as a left winger,he doesnt like to play there as he said but SAF tried him there and the results were promising, that would be my line up for England

Indeed he is. He's one of the most underrated EPL players right now.

Honest question here: bar Scholes, are there any English players who actually have good ball control/passing skills? Are there any English registas? I'm trying but am not coming up with any names.
