For me its the Spanish or Argies. Brazil at world cups are always in a zone and are better mentality too.

Thing that I have a problem with Spain is, is that they seem to be peaking too early and it all seems too good to be true.

Let us remember the euro 08 quarters against Italy which they won on penalties. There is no doubt Spain are the best team in europe but against a dour and determined Italian team it seemed again like they peaked too soon and they would find some way to lose. As it happens Casillas outshone Buffon in the shoot out and all went well, but Spain again may start really well and come up against dour and determined opposition and this time it may not go there way.

The team I really fancy to have an impact is France. They have quality in abundance and experience too. They have plenty of African descendants so the climate won't be a problem either.

In goal they have Lloris and Mandanda. 2 good goalkeepers with potential to be world class.

In defence they have Evra and Sagna as full backs and Mexes, Abidal and Escude - players who give experience as well as being decent players.

In midfield they have the experience of Vieira, Toulalan and Malouda with the world class of Ribery, and the top talents of Gourcuff and Lass Diarra.

Up front again the experience of Henry and Anelka and Govou with the class of Benzema and Gomis.

There are others like Nasri, Flamini, Ben Arfa, Clichy and Pongolle who all add to the squad.

So France imo will be a very strong contender
Football is a simple game, complicated by idiots.

Andorra going to play like Chelsea.

Time to listen to British hypocrits moan about the Andorans defensive mentality when they were praising Chelseas not a month ago.

Nah, more amusement that if England do it its fantastic tactics but when someone else does it they moan about it being defensive and antifootball.

A 3-0 win against Andorra and everyone will be saluting Capello despite the fact that they haven't play played convincingly apart from Croatia game.

God doesn't pick football teams but if he did.... they'd probably look like this

No, no. I love it when England get their hopes up with a few wins. It makes their failures in the world cup so much more epic.

So you live in England, support an English team, have English friends but you hate England. What country do you support then?

Barcelona are an English team? News to me.

I don't live in England per se either, or have many "English" friends.
