Well on paper, it isn't a bad squad, in fact they have some very good players. In reality they play awful, awful football and will as always, have serious pressure to succeed on heir shoulders. Capello seems to change his squad really dramatically for each game as well so it's hard to get a good picture of what a possible WC lineup will be. I expect them to do quite well all things considered though, they usually make the QFs.

we are better than we play but nowehere near good enough to compete football wise with spain as has been showed. it frustrates me that england never have a full strength squad too and we dont help ourselves selection wise...downing, pure shit 3 assists and no goals in 34 games ahead of young who gets 10 goals and 15 assists 2 years running in the same position and 3 player of the month awards out of 9 in 2008 and young player of the year... and i would hate to see terry lifting that cup, overrated, slow, fat, badger headed cockwrangler. we would also need hargreaves to have any chance of success.

on top form and playing fast aggressive football this team could do something

    micah rio lescott cole
    lampard hargeaves
    lennon gerrard young

England boss Fabio Capello says England are the Rafael Nadal to Spain's Roger Federer because of their athletic, physical prowess in contrast to the European Champions grace and guile

They were doing interviews on BBC and they really want to beat us because of the whole Borat thing.

Barry just scored. £12 million well spent.

Emile Heskey scored his 7th England goal in 53 caps ! That for a striker is crap.

God doesn't pick football teams but if he did.... they'd probably look like this
