Some things are more important than football. Besides, it's not like we would have had much chance anyway. England don't flop, they're just not good enough.

I dunno where to post this, but seeing as how "good 'ol 'arry" is going to be England's next manager, this seems as good a spot as any

Bravo Capello, I'd have done the same thing. He deserves a lot better.

Unless we set-up like Chelsea did against Barca, the next few tournaments were always going to be a write off, especially with Wilshere completely missing and Rooney too for the first two. The real progress will be made here, where the next generation of coaches will be trained:

He's good with shit teams, he turns them into mid-table teams. He can't handle players with class, but England don't have any, so that shouldn't be a problem.

    Sounds like Kenny Dalglish.

(...) and Carrick was faced with Xavi and Iniesta coming past him, and Messi in behind him. That’s 3rd, 2nd and 1st in last year’s World Footballer of the Year award forming a triangle around him – he desperately needed help (...)

    - ZonalMarking

Barca hold a key advantage here again, however, where Busquets has carved out a niche in shadowing deep-lying attackers. He knows what they eat for breakfast.

    - Paul Morrissey
