This is a great result. Playing away vs Kiev and winning 0-4 essentially with a B team speaks volumes about squad selection. There isn?t much difference in quality between the seniors and the youngsters. They are getting old and cant keep up

It shows that the older players are so physically crap and so past it in terms of motivation, that the difference in talent is almost non-existent on the field in terms of the quality of performance. What these lesser talents and rotation players lack in talent, they make up for it in determination, aggression, effort, and so on. This is how they actually outperform these overpaid stars who look bored and can't be arsed to run or press.

Group stage champions at it again. Some good moments from a lot of less seen players even though match was quite chaotic, especially in the first time. I find a recurring sensation that whenever i watch Barca without Messi, the game is more fun to watch. More unpredictable and no standing around gazing at GOAT and being scared what he thinks of them, when they don't pass to him.

Great 2nd half. That was a good showing by some of the youngsters. Hopefully a new board can surround them with some key players up top and at CB.

Just reminding you guys that Brathwaithe is actually 29 years old, just so we avoid the Lingard-scenario here.
Yes, im aware you are probably talking about other players.

Very good half.

Too see every player pressing and moving like that was a joy to behold.

Even 3-0 up they were all appealing for a corner as if game depended on it.

Rarely see that from Barca these days.

True. Hunger.

True. The will to prove themselves.

Ofcourse, it is like working in an office with clear hierarchy structure vs. flat structure. One regresses everyone but the leaders while the others doesnt

Mingueza doing them Mascherano interceptions now in his first game. His smirk is very Ramos like.

His physicality and appearance are very Ramos like.
Fuck the seniors. Messi should be rested and we should give the youngsters alot more opportunities.

Hell yea, make it a fun season. 95% of the time youngsters like Mingueza never get to wear the shirt, let alone start in an away CL match, because the team is above their level. But if this is that 5% when the veterans are so crap and past it, that even un-spectacular youngsters can step in and look better than them, let's play them and bench (rest) the veterans more and more.

Terrible fist half. Excellent second half. Good game. Dest and Braithwaite best players imo.

I'd say decent first half, and excellent second. First half wasn't good, but terrible is an overstatement. We dominated the game even in the first half and Kiev barely got out of their half.

That's the thing, our veterans look very bad in comparison to even team like Liepzig. I can't believe how bad football we play compared to them. Our starting eleven is dreadful, way too many guys who have no desire or motivation.

Pique and Busi being out is probably a good thing in the long run. As sad as that is.

I've been screaming for Braithwaite for so long, I just cannot understand how we keep playing that idiot Greizman over him again and again. Even if he doesn't score, he has good hold up play, decent linking up with wide players, strong(ish) presence, attacks the box, and plays trye #9. Sure his touch might be a bit off now and then and he may not produce golazos, but those basic things of a 9 that he provides is 1000000x more valuable than the nothingness of Greizman.

Also, Dest MOTM for me. He was great! Each game we see without Messi is another reminder of why he needs to leave.

Not at all mate. Biggest difference was better decision making in the final 3rd in the 2nd half.
Other than that, team was disciplined and pressed sustainedly and consistently during all 90 min.

Not to overemphasize it again, but that's possible ONLY WITHOUT Messi, because he does not defend and by that completely crumbles any organized defensive plan that involved sustained high pressing.

Even with reserves starting, we saw what's possible with pressing. Dynamo did not threaten at all with counters (unlike the first leg at Cap Nou).
Imagine with the same discipline and tactics, but with better players and finishing in the final third.

PS1: Koeman is doing a good job so far, and if Messi was gone this would have been way more evident. It's time for his critics to admit that.

PS2: With the danger of becoming tiring, I will write it again. Dest is like 20 hundred times better than Roberto at RB. No need to start the worse of the two just to respect whatever power hierarchy exists in the locker room

Can we just play this lineup from now on? Damn I love watching these guys way more. If we are smart, next year we sell Griezmann, Busquets, Pique, and let Messi leave. I feel like we will do fine without them.

Barca future aint that bleak. Dest, Frenkie, Puig, Fati, Pedri.
Nope, honestly that?s enough to have me excited. If we become a well run club again we will be just fine.

the type of game that will surely be used as benchmark by the resident "specialists". another shitty/naive team that we dismantle, only to come back to mediocrity against tougher opponents. yo-yo season indeed.

good turnaround by the team. dest and braithwaite the real winners.

We struggled against the same team with the starting 11.

we struggled with the same team in the first half, last night. your point is?

if it weren't for poor finishing and their GK turning it up, the first leg win would have been bigger.

we beat juventus at their own home with the first team. the same juve who won in kiev easily.

so much for the "we struggled" narrative. our weakest squad in years and we handily won the group after 3 matches.
