I don't disagree with the general point you are making but I do disagree that (1) Griezmann is entitled. He may suck and he has some entitled and silly loud-mouth relatives but he is not entitled when he plays, certainly not like those senior players of ours and (2) without money we can't build a competitive team with some average-talented players who nevertheless work very hard.

Griezmann is the wrong type of player at the wrong club at the wrong time. The ultimate proof that if you take a top player but don't have a plan on how he will fit, he will play like crap.

We will have the money. At this point, we need to make sure that the money won't be spent on astronomic wages for players who are not worth it anymore. Also, after the pandemic is over, the club will generate a lot of revenue. More than enough needed to build a new team with a proper management structure.

The biggest failure of this board in terms of management is making this squad the highest paid in the world. It's quite astonishing how overpaid our veterans are.

The amigo clan is done. Our performances now feel solid, rejuvenated and fast.

Not gone yet. Still some work left and some cleaning to do. Then a rebuild is on the cards, which can be successful if we elect and name the right persons in charge in terms of board and manager.

But some of the fastest one-touch football we've played was with Betis in the first half now that you mention it.

Agreed on Griezmann, he should not have been bought at all in the first place at all as he plays in the same position as Messi and our club is notorious at this point for turning what used to be decent players into crap.

Some portions of the revenue such as matchday and merchandising will come back once the pandemic is over (that said, this season is not look good at all, the general outlook at this point is the entire 20/21 seasons might be played without fans as vaccines will not be made widely available to the general public until April 2021), but if we miss the CL that's a huge portion from the broadcast revenue getting chopped off and will have immediate adverse impact on signings.

I think we will be down for a couple of seasons at least, perhaps in 22/23 we might start come back up again if we manage smartly with both our finances and transfers, and if the rebuild goes without major hiccups.

Regardless of anything, at this point, the vets need to be cut from the team, all of them and especially Messi. This is imperative and the start of everything. There's no alternative.

Then it will be a tough road towards a new team. How many years it will take depends on many factors. How the board will do, the manager we'll pick, the staff we will have in terms of technical director, pretty much everything. The signings we will make, the revenue we'll have, the wage structure etc.

If we get fortunate with the board and manager, it might take as much as Liverpool during Klopp. 2 years. Of course, there's always the other end of the spectrum where you make more crap decisions and won't form a strong team again for the good part of a decade.

Indeed, if not handled carefully there is the danger of the club turning into a Milan club but I think we shouldn't be that bad, we could be a Manchester United 2.0.

In the short term because of our screwed-up finances we can't attract some top talents like Mbappe or Haaland, but in perhaps 3 to 4 years if we turn it around we should become a magnet to top players again. But this time around, to your point, let's be prudent with our wages and let's not get stuck in the same hole again.

Not true! 3 subs are only a thing in the EPL right now, and even there 15 out of the 20 clubs recently have voted for the 5 subs rule to come back, so it will. In La Liga there are 5 possible subs, always have been since the post-covid games, and they chose to keep it. Just today, Sevilla made 5 subs in their game. And we made 4 subs tonight! So when Roberto went off, we could've made the fifth, like Puig on for example. Instead he chose to play with a man down! Another brainfart by Koeman. Needs to be gone by Christmas.

And yet, we still saw subs being made in added time in many games post-pandemic. I think it was actually the case of Koeman not even seeing the point in making the sub, or the players not being ready, which is embarrassing to say the least Shambolic, if you ask me. Puig could've been the difference even if he was on for 2 minutes.

Just looking at two different xG shot-maps (based on different models), both show that Barca created more than Atleti in terms of chances (despite the shitty in all aspects game we had):

The Infogol model probably underestimates a bit the value of Carasco's attempt. But all in all, Atleti had only 2 medium to big chances: Carasco's and Lorente's.
Barca had at least 3: Griezman's, Messi's, and Lenglet's
