Last 3 Portuguese wingers who played for us:
Figo
Simao Sabrosa
Quaresma
Last two young, hyped wingers Simao and Quaresma flopped hard.
They were both hailed as the next Figo when they came.
When Quaresma came, he was rated as a higher potential than the other winger kid from Sporting, named CR7.
At least Figo was awesome, until he stabbed us in the back.
Out of true Portuguese players (Deco was a Brasilian) who played for Barca, only Figo was a success.
Other players were Semedo, Gomes, Quaresma, Simao, Baia and Fernando Couto.
History is heavily against Portuguese players.
