They meaning who? Solari? Or socios & capi? Solari was good, gave us Vinicius, solid tactically, outplayed Ernie in both Clasicos which meant anything last season, score was very unlucky, only lost because we needed someone else upfront to balance out the threat posed by your Clube. And because with no youthful leaders they didn’t know how to pick themselves up after 1:2 vs Girona.

Madrid squad know how to play, only some of them got old a bit too fast and even right now Modrić is pushing for a starter position. Defensively only PSG was better than us to this point in the season. We’ve improved in that regard. Now we need Hazard back and not have him injured to see if we can actually continue and win something properly.

Board, Valverde, veterans. The 3 issues of the team.

Solari was an ok manager nothing more. You need a top manager to build a team. Solari wasn't that, which is why he was replaced after several months. Florentino decided quickly he didn't have what it takes, and this is a very underrated aspect of Perez. He keeps searching until he finds what he wants in a manager. And he's not afraid to go through 3 managers in a season if needed. The opposite of our lame board who just prefer to drift along with a manager who clear has no vision and no plan.

Jury's still out on Zidane, but the young players in general seem fond of him and seem to like him as well as respect him. I think he is respected and trusted by the squad which is far more than one can say about Valverde.
