Any news about him? from several clubs interested to him, to Barca bound to City deal imminent to no news at all.

Is he capable of being a first team player or a starter right away? He might not choose City if they don't have the allure of Champions League for the next 2 years.

I don't think he is their first team bound so missing the CL for two years will have little effect on him.

We were interested and close to getting:

VJ but refused to pay 40m
Rodrygo but we also refused to pay 40m
Kubo we refused to pay 1m in wages
Yan Couto did not match City's offer which is 15m

Of those I'm only sad to miss out on Couto because we would need a good future RB though I still have high hopes for Emerson.

Vini, Rodrigo and Kubo are all overrated imo and I think we'll be fine with Fati, Pedri and Trincao.

I do not like Emerson's profile. I do, however, like the fact that he is tall, but his other attributes are not that good.

I would definitely try to get these as soon as possible Tomás Esteves, Karim Adeyemi, either Talles Magno or Kaio Jorge because Gabriel Veron's clause is 60m, unfortunately.

Apparently one of City's scouts could not believe that we were getting one of the most promising players for only 6m. They offered 6m + 6m addons.

Either he actually makes City's first team or he falls for City's typical Bullshit and City end up paying out the odds for another RB while he basically rots or goes out on loan.

Reminds me of when Wallace left Fluminense for Chelsea some years ago. He ended up in Italy on loan and now is back in Brazil with Gremio.
