That's a bar only really achieved by RM. Even Liverpool now and Bayern in their heyday cashed in on being resilient away and dominating home games.

As long as we win another CL, we're back.

Nah, Liverpool just won 4-0 away a few days ago. Won 4-1 last season vs Porto away in the quarters. Won 3-1 vs Bayern away as well. Won vs City 2-1 a year before again away.

Bayern 3-1 and City 2-1 are impressive but losing to PSG and Barca (a statistical blowout even if it was unfair) away counter balances them. Porto and the likes of those are not the best metric of strength.

RM had 4-0 Allianz, 3-0 Juve in Turin, 2-1 PSG in Paris, 2-1 Bayern Allianz, 2-1 Bayern Allianz. Not quite counter balanced by 0-2 Wolfsburg, 1-2 Atletico (after already being up 3-0), 1-2 Turin (the reason for their only elimination in the 5 year stretch).

All 3 ties v Bayern, RM beat them away from home and effectively won the tie there. That was the bar I was referring to.
