LaLiga claim Deportivo vs Fuenlabrada is definitively suspended and that Elche are into the playoffs

Fuenlabrada denied they've accepted to not play against Deportivo.

Tebas trying to save his head by saying he's responsible Fuenlabrada had to travel to La Coruna.

Javier Tebas has written an open letter to Fuenlabrada:

"You followed the instructions that LaLiga gave you, the only person responsible for you traveling to A Coru?a is me, nobody else. Football owes you one. Take heart, this opportunity (promotion) will come."


Rayo wants to play against Elche to qualify for the playoffs.

However, now Rayo Vallecano - who are seventh, level on points with Fuenlabrada and one point behind Elche - have demanded that they be allowed to take on Elche in a match that would decide sixth place and the final playoff spot.

And a crazy idea by Extremadura - who were already relegated before the last round so they were not affected by this whole situation at all. They've suggested La Liga to have 22 teams (20 who were already here this year and 2 newly promoted - Huesca and Cadiz) and Segunda with 24 (20 actual and 4 promoted from Segunda B) teams next season. :lol:

I've read a deadline for Segunda to be completed is August 15 and they need at least 10 days for the playoffs (with two legs played in both semifinals and final) so the latest the suspended game could be played is probably the start of next week which is too soon.

Onda Cero now say he has been detained by police to make an official statement.


Fuenlabrada are not happy and have released a statement.

They claim to be obligated to report this to the legal authorities and remind him of a ?grave failure to fulfil sporting rules.?

Such an administrative relegation would be ?totally unfounded? they say.
