Geez, that was a hero move, very easily could have been a penalty and a potential red card, critical tackle. Saved Verm's ass, or should I say saved Verm who was literally on his ass..

In football, the result is an impostor. You can do things really, really well but not win. There's something greater than the result, more lasting - a legacy.

Love how everyone automatcially thinks of Boateng. No matter what he accomplishes further, whenever brought up he will always be instantly reminded of being the guy that got owned so bad by Messi.

It's definitely one of the biggest moments when we look back at 2014/15 season.

Having that said, Boateng will mostly be remembered as one of the best defenders in his generation when the German hang up his boots.

His pace and ability on the ball is underrated. The way he runs with the ball going past players is beautiful to see. Great second half from the little boss.

Bilbao was all over us and we couldn't bring the ball out in 1st half. Mascherano is great but not suitable playing as DM against high pressing and energetic opponents like Bilbao.

What Bojan said. He couldn't find space in the first half to receive the ball and circulate it, and Bilbao loaded up the wings to stop us getting out. It made for an uncomfortable ride. Plus we couldn't seem to hit Suarez with the long balls (or he couldn't make them stick) either to relieve things.

Was it Masch that got wrecked on the line around the 83rd minute? Could have made it 2-2.
