I don't really get this. Consensus in Amsterdam is that he's not good enough to start for them. Why on earth would he be good enough to start for us?

If he rejects Barca in favor of Bayern I would be flabbergasted, but not surprised. Our reputation has fallen somewhat and it makes it a bit more difficult to attract other players especially higher caliber ones. Playing with Messi isn't enough for the circus that is the board.
