Mate, it doesn't seem like it's me having feelings over calling spade a spade. Or did you feel a sense of injustice when Rakitic saying he wouldn't want gay individuals on the team was labeled homophobic, Busi calling Marcelo a monkey racist or Suarez biting players violent too

I remember that interest in him back in 2009. Wanted him back then as he had impressed me for Depor.
Although I am not much in favor of signing seniors that are past their best, in this case a 34 year old Felipe, I do think that he could be a good and reliable backup for Alba at least for 1 season if not 2. A cheap one too (will come for free) provided that he won't demand a big last payment. I could see that working and it would give us 1-2 summers to find a long-term substitute of Alba.
Part ways with jokes like KPB and Murillo while getting Felipe on a cheap for 1-2 seasons as a backup. Could be worser options out there IMO.
Sure he had his moments with Messi throughout the ages but there is zero bald blood between them and Felipe has repeatedly praised him publicly and called him the GOAT. There should be zero issues there.
As see non Wednesday, he still got it and there are probably no other left backs his age that are this good.
