Transfers and Rumors

With all these corruption investigations going on at the moment, resigning of six board members and allegations of money laundering, Barcelona is not a good destination for the top European players. That is why, the only continuous rumors are linked to Neymar and Martinez. We have to wait till next summer to see that change. But, if Bartomeu does sign these two in July, then we'll have absolutely no chance to rebuild this team. At least for another 4-5 years. My only hope is that this investigation come to an end with solid proofs of corruption, which may lead to early election for new board and president.

The Arthur-Pjanić operation is quite advanced. Pjanić wants, Arthur not so much. Barcelona think that Pjanić still has four great years of football in him despite his age, and Arthur is inconsistent. [cat radio] https://t.co/0gUQoG3UOo

Barcelona and Manchester City are in advanced talks over a deal that could take Nelson Semedo to the English club. City are prepared to include Joao Cancelo in the deal, as well as cash. [sport] https://t.co/pJoKPmpjjK

Incredible transfer movement dawg getting rid of Neymar's enemy Semedo is a bold move

That swap will never happen. If Miralem Pjanic was still a good player, Juventus wouldn't let him go. They are trying to get rid of their useless veterans, unlike Barcelona, who will keep them to the last day of their contracts.

This one won't happen either. If Joao Cancelo was a good player, Pep wouldn't let him go. We can replace Semedo with someone who is obviously better than him, but that is not a priority at the moment. CB's, DM, LW and CF are our needs.

What will a 30-year-old player do for them? Are these people on the board normal? Where are the Barcelona scouts? Where are the young talents? Is there anyone to tell them not to throw money at worn-out players. This is the worst board of directors Barcelona has ever had. Bartomeu is the man who was responsible for failures in the purchase of players. I can't wait for the day when he will leave the club forever.

Technically, from all three players that are currently in the rumor mill, Neymar, Martinez and Pjanic, only Lautaro can be somehow useful. The problem with him is that Inter has rejected all of the players Barcelona has offered so far. And if we can not include one or two players in it, I don't see how the board will be paying 111 millions.

+1 on all that you wrote. This is scouting disaster.

Unfair to criticize our scouts who are paid a normal wage, spend most of the year traveling being away from their families, and have little to no say in our club's transfer policy.

The scouts can deliver reports, recommend whichever player they want. Ultimately it's up to the management to decide which players to pursue and not.

If ith happens I would like to say it in front: Pjanic will add nothing to Barca, another old fashioned midfileder.

I find it so strange that Artur is on the chopping block. Still young, still has potential, played great in quite a few matches, and is the only available midfielder of his type in European football right now. Why be so willing to let him go when you can get rid of deadweights like Raki, Coutinho, Dembele?
