,, Valverde : I was against Messi Suarez and Griezmann going out to eat food high in sugar and fat but they said to my face they don't give a shit. Anyone else would be upset and angry but let's be real here....If you see your sons not taking you serious , not obeying you , wouldn't you be proud that they're their own men now ? " [sport]

This went too far hahaha

Valverde: "If we had played badly at the Wanda, we wouldn’t have won. Sometimes you find a good result without a brilliant game, but usually the one who plays well is the one who wins. Sometimes you're not great, but you don't play badly. To play well is to do so consistently."

Valverde: "Rakitic? He’s a safe player in many aspects. There have been matches where he hasn’t participated but he has trained to take advantage of his opportunities. He‘s played important games at a good level and we are happy with that. We will see what happens."

Lol.

So, for Valverde, playing well = winning.

The most clueless manager we've had in decades.

To play well is to do so consistently? But we literally never play well, or at least never had a string of even 2 consistently good games, so what the fuck is he even talking about? He can't be that unaware.

April? Try Feb if we draw the away leg first.

:crbust:

We've won the group, so return leg is at home. And the toughest 2nd place teams are Madrid and Atletico who we can't draw because they're Spanish sides. We got the first knockout tie covered. Pretty much another Lyon, or similar level team.

Imagine if Liverpool draw their game with Salzburg, end 2nd in their group and we get them in the R16.

Did not realize that was a rule. Probably should have picked out the pattern after the City, Arsenal, PSG, Chelsea, and Lyon ties.

So, all we need is 2 decent away showings and we're through to the final. Makes it even worse. EV bottled 2 of the first 3 of those at the first sign of adversity. FFS. :griezmann:

Fast forward 3-4 months ahead , we meet City/Liverpool/ Bayern in CL. Valverde ( disgusting piece of shit ) starts for the 3rd year in a row Rakitic and Busquets.

We lose both games , aggregate 7-3.

Valverde loser apologists : Well last year at least we won at home vs Liverpool. This year we lost both games with Frenkie as a starter so it's clearly his fault.

Stupidity reaching new heights every day dawgs.

SAD.
