I'm on record saying that Messi is the least responsible for our situation but captain material he is not. Anyway, it's not like we have a team full of captain material guys so Messi is stealing that armband from someone more apt. :lol:

Unfortunately, it's only going to get worse. We all know what Messi is like when we're losing or when things are going badly. He tends to sulk or not to give a shit. He seems okay for now because we've actually won a few friendly games. But it won't take much to piss him off.

He's still the best player on the pitch even when he's sulking. But we can't have that mentality on the pitch, especially if we're expected to win games.

The things is, we could have easily survived if Messi left the club. We still have capable players in the cam position.... like Griezmann and Coutinho. It's the defense where we've struggled the past couple of years.

Yeah. Our attack has never been a problem. We will always create and score goals, especially at home. Without Messi, our attack is still pretty good. And players won't focus on passing it to Messi all the time. Our attack wouldn't become so predictable. It's our defense that's going to let us down again this season.
