Lionel Messi - v7

they aren't telling the truth about this injury

That's fine. One thing for certain, if he could play, he would. Four points after three games, already 5 behind AM, the only reason he is not playing against Valencia is that he cannot.

I expect the team to be quite a bit better with Suarez back. In midfield, when Arthur got on the field last game, he played well enough to force his inclusion in the lineup. He should help.

The more factors that contribute to Valverde getting sacked the more happier I am!

Take your time Leo! No rush.

Reasons why Messi might take longer than expected to heal his calf injury.

Everybody should watch in stead of speculating and also remember what happend to Kevin Durant who came back to soon from a calf injury in the NBA Playoffs.

It suckes but better now then later in a season.

No calf injury takes almost 8 weeks to heal, so perhaps it would be time to put up the question: what is really happening to Messi?

Better to be safe than sorry.

Rushing him back with a weak calf only for him to completely tear it or hurt his ACL or achilles and his career could be over.

Seriously, this needs to be managed properly and we are still very early in the season.

Yup, a bad calf is like a ticking time bomb for the Achilles.

Most spontaneous Achilles tears happen because the calf cramps up or there is a sudden but severe contraction/spasm.

Posters who think we're being too cautious should ask Kevin Durant.
