Lionel Messi - v7

If he actually had a good team and capable coaches apart from Pep, he would have won the Ballon every year.
Every year he hasent won its becouse of Messi having to carry, while the winner has been carried.
Messi individually, has been the best player every year since his senior debut, apart from his injury season.
Its shameful how so many years have been wasted.

he carries us all by himself but he needs to have the notion to play for the team and not trying to do all alone, he needs to leave the midfiled to the midfilders

good plan untill said midfield is filled with average past it players who can't get the ball in the final third even if their lives depended on it.

He did the jobs of the midfield and attack because he was forced to , not because he feels he has too much of a stamina at 32 and wants to do everything.

poor messi. everything is on him. the GOAT. one man team.
messi messi he's our man, if he can't do it no one can.

Here are some of the records that Messi has a good chance of matching, breaking, or extending in 2019/20.

#1 Messi has won La Liga's scoring title for the last three seasons. If he does so again, he will match Hugo Sanchez's record of four-in-a-row between 1984/85 and 1987/88.

#2 Messi is the only non-Spanish born player to win La Liga ten times. The next highest is Dani Alves with 6. Spanish and Real Madrid star of the 50s and 60s, Paco Gento (12) has won more and that record could fall to Messi over the next few seasons.

#3 No Barcelona player has won more trophies than Lionel Messi - 34.

#4 Messi is only two short of matching Ryan Giggs's record of 36 trophies won with one team.

#5 Cristiano Ronaldo's record of 34 La Liga hat-tricks is within sight. Going into this new season, Messi has 33.

#6 Telmo Zarra played for Athletic Bilbao between 1940 and 1955 and won the Pichichi Trophy, awarded to the league's top scorer each season, a record 6 times. Messi tied Zarra's record last season.
#7 Lionel Messi has scored 419 La Liga goals, 108 more than the next best, Cristiano Ronaldo. Messi's closest active rival is Aritz Aduriz who has scored 157 goals.

#8 Messi leads in all-time La Liga assists with 162.

#9 Starting in the 2009/10 season Messi has scored 40 goals or more for Barcelona in each of the last 10 seasons. He also holds the record for scoring at least one goal in the most consecutive La Liga seasons - 15.

#10 Last season Messi finished as Europe's top scorer for third straight season - only 3 other players have finished top scorer in 2 consecutive seasons. Messi finished as top scorer for a record 6th time. Cristiano Ronaldo is next having finished as top scorer 4 times.

#11 Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo share the record for the most hat-tricks in the UEFA Champions League - 8.

#12 Messi has scored direct from 31 free kicks in La Liga - more than any other player.

#13 No player has scored more goals in La Liga El Clásico matches than Messi with 18. This record extends to 26 in all El Clásico games.

#14 Since the award was instituted in 2008/09, Lionel Messi has been voted La Liga's Best Player 9 times and Best Forward 10 times.

#15 Messi has more two-goal games than anyone else in the history of La Liga - 85.

Its time to destroy them :messi:

Messi is slowly losing points in my eyes

1. Dropping deep, doing whatever he wants on a field
2. Never want to rest
3. Keeping Suarez
4. Keeping EV, even though we agreed there to some extent
5. Not wanting Griezmann due to Neymar
6. Wanting Neymar

What's next?

This is not Fc Barcelona anymore but Fc Messi and friends.

Some of those are media bullshit probably.

But yes, he's lost some of that spark he had. It's normal though. Not all players can motivate themselves like crazy for 10+ years. Messi is more of a family man these days. Not his fault the club has no backbone and no plan.

What he does in La Liga is incredible. When he'll retire we'd have won almost 40% of our championships in Spain during Messi. I think 12 La Ligas is feasible for him.

The letdown overall is the Champions League. Could've won more, but you can't do it all.
