Hoping for a good game from him. Well rested and all. If it happens it's clear he has to sit out 20-30% of the games a season. Especially long away trips to weaker sides in CL groups and home games in La Liga against low-level sides.

All Copa games until semis as well. Do that and maybe he will look sharper and not so old and slow.

I like him so far today, but he is definitely hesitating with his shots. Is there another injury we aren’t being told about, like last season, or just his confidence?

Of course it does. He's 33. It was no wonder he wasn't great last week after traveling back and playing in South America 3 days earlier.

Really nice game. His best this season no doubt. Let's hope he is rested vs Ferencvaros, because we need this Messi in La Liga. The squad players showed vs Kiev that they are good players who can be trusted.
