Philippe Coutinho

Even as a bench player he was still able to contribute significantly to their play. It's very obvious it's just better player management and tactics.

Significant? Not really. At the beginning of last season he did have a few good games under his belt and then he quickly became anonymous and was completely marginalized. Don't be fooled by the goals he scored against us.

He was shite everywhere, bar Liverpool. And even when he was there, they didn't win anything of note. It was a matter of time that he showed his true potential. Fringe player at Bayern, but suddenly worldclass at Barcelona

Of course forum de amigos got on the hype train, because theh thought some physical preparation makes you a better footballer.

Yeah the funny thing is Liverpool started to win PL and CL right after he has gone.

We already know from Valverdays that if you put Coutinho on the wing that you lose half of his game. Cou is a 360 player, not a 180 player. Yesterday's setup should of had Pedri at Left mid and Coutinho in the midfield.

Although Messi on the right would of left Dest 2 on1 all game. Pedri and Dest completely contained that side of Madrids attack.

He had a Bad game. I think he's exhausted Koeman told the Press that they wanted to rest Coutinho because he's tired and his fitness Level was not on point because of the International and yet , still played him against Getafe.

Now he’s got some sort of muscle injury? Haven’t seen how long he is out.

He’s been playing well but damn he should have buried that header. Very unfortunate.

To his defense, that scraped the post. Very small margins. Just a 5 degree angle of a difference in the contact point and it flies near the post inside. That was unlucky, as you say.

It's Puig time.

Only good that could come out of losing many games is that Puig can finally be played. I feel for the lad. He's basically being persecuted for being small. And this is all theoretical mind you. I have never seen that weakness of his being super-exposed. Because what he lacks in height and muscle, he makes up with speed and agility.

It's all a matter of height + muscle vs speed + agility/quickness. Usually, big, tall guys are slow and this is why they will often have to use their advantages to hide their weak points. The opposite is also true. Small, weak guys will have to be quicker, faster, to make it harder for them to be isolated and cornered down and having to use their body in physical duels.

The real problem is when you are weak and slow. Then you are toast. But if you are weak and fast, you have a shot.

Think Pedri and Griezmann are ahead of Puig in that CAM in Koeman's 4231.

Meh, we have players that will provide almost the same production as him so not too fussed about his absence.
