Ousmane Dembélé

Seriously, instead of spending big on Neymar we should be pursuing future prospects, who can actually take the reins after the GOAT is gone.

Apart from Dembele (& Malcom) , all our attackers are 27+.

You must be an idiot and an asshole to say that Suarez and Griezmann can play in place of Dembele, a winger.
you are a fucking dunce anyway.
Griezmann and Suarez do not play in OD's place. Griezmann looks a bit like Messi, behind the attacker.
correct your remarks little glass of earth.
You are poor and you are rude.

Tell me what you think the front three will be next season

The top 3 young players right now are Mbappe Sane and Sancho. I think we should get Sancho and play him on the right wing or go all out for Mbappe

It will be very hard for Dembele to be 1st choice next year IMO.

Here is the rating in La Liga last year: #1) Messi (8.5), #2 Suarez (7.6), #6 Griezmann (7.29).

People who trash Suarez really don't watch enough other CFs to see that all the best ones have high risk/ high reward--meaning lots of mistakes the film shows.

In Messi, Suarez and AG you have 3 of the most consistent and best forwards in the world over the past 5 years.

For the record Dembele was rated #7 on la Liga, just behind AG, but when you have a player like these 3 in front of you what you have to do is be ready for your opps due to injury, rotation and within match substitution. It is a luxury to have a Dembele talent as your 4th option in your forward rotations, maybe only City can say something like that. This is a good problem to have as they all should be able to help one another be fresh for the april/may money time.

Dembele will not be the 1st choice, not even the 2nd if Neymar makes it back somehow.

Let's suppose Neymar stays there and Valverde has the players according to the present state.
What will he do?
I can easily tell you that. He will start doing the exact same thing with Griezmann he initially did with Coutinho.

He will be tried and tested on the left wing, on the right wing, rarely in Suarez's post without Suarez and rarely Griez will play the Messi role, when Messi is resting.
Neither Messi or Suarez will want to rest, so if no injuries, they will play most games.
Sooner or later it will become obvious to the blind coach that Griezmann is not a winger, because he has never been one, neither on the left or right, so after some unwanted experiments and result, EV will turn "back" to the Messi-Suarez-GCD attacking trio, where sometimes Griezmann, sometimes Coutinho and rarely Dembele will play on the left and Malcom won't get a single minute (if he luckily doesn't leave soon).

This much fantasy and flexibility Valverde has, not a tiny bit more than that.
Players will be enthusiastic initially, they will tell nice prefabricated sentences to the press, but then they become irritated and hurt by unheeded feelings.

In the meantime the "core" players will age even more significantly, surprisingly unexpected bad results will follow and Valverde will be sacked after half a year...

This much I'm able to envision, because having Coutinho, Dembele and Malcom on the bench shows nothing but irritating stupidity by the board and coach alike.

I can bet that Dembélé will be the 3rd option for the attack this season, even the 2nd choice.
we said the same thing when there was Coutinho but finally we saw how it went.
as with paulinho, malcom and rafinha but we saw the result.
Guillermo Amor even declared in public that Dembélé had become almost important in front of Coutinho.
Valverde will always put Dembele.

Keeping telling yourself that mate. Dembele will be getting the malcom treatment next season

After just Joao Felix's first pre-season match for Atletico Madrid, despite the fact he got injured within the first thirty minutes, you can already see the lad has infinitely better control, awareness, vision, first touch, command of the ball in tight spaces, poise, shielding of the ball, more consistent decision making etc. than Dembele has shown in his entire career here.

Out of all the talents we could have gone after why did it have to be this borderline football retarded sprinter with some flashy school yard skills?

To think Mbappe was available the same summer for only a little bit more.

Doesn't matter who we got, Valverde would have benched them anyway.

Potroh, yes if Neymar comes back (big if) there is no role for demeble. He would be behind 4 of the 5 best forwards over the past 5 years. (yes I know Suarez isn't what he once was--but his value and impact is massively underrated). In fact I have to believe if Neymar comes back Dembele going the other way--both for value and wages, has to be part of that.

However I am assuming the main forwards are Messi, Suarez and AG, with Dembele getting a lot of rotation--I really don't think Neymar will return because it would be such a massive negitiation. For Coutinho to play at all (last year he was behind Dembele when Dembele was fully fit), he is going to have to prove he can do some more midfield duties. The other sight possibility for Dembele to play more in the biggest matches is AG to play as an attacking mid--I don't see big games without Messi (of course) and Suarez as the head of the spear. Perhaps fortunately for Dembele, AG may be so flexible and skilled he may be able to accomodate him.

ImO Suarez criticers are too hard but we cant deny that he misses so many fucking chances. Especially in CL we need an icecold finisher as you dont get lots of opportunities to score against Juve, Bayern, City etc..

It's true isn't? Every single young talent in elite clubs are composed with the ball, are spatially aware, and intelligent - yet the one we chose for 140m euros is the exact opposite of that. His "flashy skills" aren't even great, his technique is so ugly to watch; compare his cruyff turns and fake shots to technically competent players like Neymar, Hazard, Sancho, Felix, or Sané and they're worlds apart.

Perfect-Football is totally Maxim4's account. "Dembele's rich friend" totally gave it away lmao.

It's true. Dembele has some talent but Felix looks more like a Barca player. He seems to have great first touch, good one touch passes. Looks like a Barca player.
