That could just be because he was worried about relapsing so slightly holds back.

When is he meant to be due back?

Honestly it's quite disturbing to have to accept the prospect of both Coutinho and Dembele being worthless flops.

Pulling a BBZ here and claiming that there is only a 10% chance at this point he won't get the same injury again. He needs some contunuity to like football again, but with those fragile muscles of his, that's terribly unlikely. He won't be fit before September, so no one is buying him. I hope he can at least play a role in the next season. His last season's return of 11 goals and 6 assists in La Liga & CL wasn't that bad. If he can put those numbers again, someone will buy him next summer.

This guy, lol. Where the fuck is he? He has played more minutes for Rennes in a year than he has for us overall. And he still might only be our second or third worst signing.

His recovery is proceeding slower than expected. Won't be ready in August.

Dembele was going to rest either way no matter what was going on in the world. Injuries don't only require rest, but also rehabilitation. The rehabilitation process for a high level athlete requires frequent visits to health centres and check ups with physio staff. His rehab schedule must have been significantly limited due to travel, hospital and gathering restrictions. At one point these orders were very strict and that could have seriously slowed down his recovery.

They said he wouldn't make the Napoli game. It was expected that he wasn't going to play in August anyway, so these aren't any breaking news. Calm down folks.
