iirc we were looking at Rodrigo before, probably just another weird obsession our board have with Valencia players

Yep. In fact Real Madrid were linked to him last year as well and then Barca enquired about him too.

It's either:

1. Rodrigo's camp spreading smoke or trying to convince a big team to sign this bum

or

2. Both Real Madrid and Barcelona being clueless

or a controversial, but still realistic proposition if you've seen what Mendes is involved with at Wolves

3. Some kind of shady deal where money is handed out to people at Barcelona, Valencia and to Mendes and Gestifute.

Don't think Setien can pick players like that. The board loves la liga signings, especially from Valencia, and Barca was linked to him in the past already so wouldn't be that surprising if they go for him.

This board must have a secret pact with Valencia to help them out financially by buying their crap. Rodrigo is 28 and still useless. The only good thing he does is miss chances.

We are back to the days when we made shitty purchases.

Nuno Santo we should take a closer look at. So the player-material is pretty great in Wolves, but they played some nice attacking football tonight, and he got them to PL also. 5th in PL now I think. La Liga proven with Valencia. If Setien doesn't work out, and Xavi isn't ready... Maybe this guy.

Yep I’d agree .. Wolves always play really good , possession based game .

Flamin Adema was unplayable tonight .. Liverpool had one of their very , very rare off days ..

Barcelona and Chelsea are, according to The Sun, the two clubs best place to land Allan Arigoni, the Grasshopper's full-back who stands out for his speed. According to the English media, Barça have sent Jose Mari Bakero to check out the defender.

Arigoni's stand out quality is his speed. His pace has allowed the 21-year-old to break into the team (he's played 15 league games), setting up five goals. A study revealed that he, along with Borussia Dortmund's Achraf Hakimi, is the quickest defender in the game at 35km/h.

The Sun adds that neither Barça nor Chelsea have made an official offer yet, but say he could be part of Frank Lampard's future transfer plans.
