Barca pre-season 2019

Early to say, but Frenkie looked way better with Roberto and Alena than with Arthur.

Alena and Roberto are moving vertically for forward runs.
Arthur is freezed and stops once when he gets into the opponent's half.

Agree 100%, De Jong looking frustrated after Arthur got in

You guys are being a bit to hard on coutinho. He is playing fine. Its a almost a b-team and players that are still rusty.

Coutinho is beyond awful and has total tunnel vision. Refuses to play 1 touch, constantly just getting in these slow ponderous 1v1 runs where he spins around like he's a dog chasing his tail trying to ditch his defender. Horrible, he is the B team level player.

First game back with his first game with FDJ.

The thing is that he does the same in official matches. Ball-hogging, dribbling into traffic, no grasp of one touch passing, terrible shots... He shows no signs of learning.

Good game but the subs with a 4-0 lead show the hierarchy is still in full effect.

Umtiti on at RCB over Todibo
Roberto moving back to RB instead of Wague coming on.
Rafinha at CMR ahead of Puig.
Vidal at AMR over Carles Perez.

Be prepared for disappointment with this Fridays lineup

Too early to determine midfield line-ups.

These copa players are playing their first match back, dawg.

And the whole team looked better without Ivan "0.5 keypasses and 0.001 goals/per 90 minutes more than the rest of midfield" Rakitic. Doesnt work like that though.

Coutinho's fancy footwork would look great in futsal. Hope he considers changing the sport.

Alba can't cross for shit.

We should also try a 4-2-3-1 at some point, with Arthur - De Jong double pivot, and all of Dembele, Messi, Suarez and Griezmann upfront.

You're welcome
Post-sub too many players came on that disrupt the flow. Messi might be one of those as well. With the young players and their pace and drive things looked exciting.

Well, my commentator said: Barca played nice today. Like under Rijkaard or Pep. But they often play like this in a preseason. But once when Messi returns, they are less free flowing since all passes go to him.

Without Messi, there is more movement and midfielders are free to pass to anyone.
Add Messi and everything will be slower and more onedimensional.

You see, these theories work in both, or in 10 ways.
